Colette Lundin

B.S., RDCS · Healthcare professional, author, and daughter

Illustrated portrait of Colette Lundin at her desk as a caregiver consultant

Colette is a healthcare professional, author, and devoted daughter whose life and career have been shaped by her passion for patient advocacy, dignified elder care, and family support.

When her mother suffered a traumatic brain injury that transitioned into progressive cognitive decline, Colette found herself navigating caregiving from both sides — as an experienced healthcare worker and as a loving daughter. Drawing from firsthand experience managing care, coordinating medical teams, and walking her mother through memory care and hospice, she writes with raw honesty, practical clarity, and deep compassion.

She is the author of Walking My Mom Home and the upcoming companion book Making Memories: Traveling with Dementia.

When she isn’t writing or sharing caregiving resources, Colette enjoys spending time with her family, planning road trips, and exploring the beauty of the outdoors.

Dedication

To her mom — and to every caregiver standing in the gap

To my mom — the strong matriarch who gave me life, taught me grace, and loved our family fiercely. Thank you for the quiet afternoons by your green plants, the hours spent coloring together, and the joy of every open road we traveled. Walking you all the way home was the greatest privilege and deepest honor of my life.

And to every caregiver standing in the gap — may you find strength in the quiet moments, peace in your hard choices, and the profound comfort of knowing that your love is making a world of difference.
